What it is

EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) is the rubber compound used for caliper piston dust boots and slide pin boots.

How it works

As the piston extends with pad wear or the pin slides during braking, the boot flexes without losing its seal, keeping the piston bore and pin bores isolated from road grime, water, and salt.
