However, the final approval of any of those projects falls within the competence of the Steering Committee. In addition to reviewing project proposals, the Steering Committee will ensure the project alignment with the Strategic Plan and will set priorities if needed. The SC will follow-up on the implementation of the approved projects and the allocated budgets, ensuring the timely submission of reports. Moreover, the SC will be responsible for approving the Annual Work Plan and Budget for the project activities, as well as the annual progress reports. The SC will be also responsible for reviewing and approving any necessary changes to the project strategy and its implementation, in light of new and relevant developments related to the project. The SC is the ultimate decision-making body for the project, and its decisions are binding on all parties. All SC decisions are taken by consensus.
